Independent Venue Week (IVW) is the UK’s annual 7-day celebration of independent music & arts venues and the people that own, run and work in them. These venues, all local businesses, are the backbone of the live music scene and Independent Venue Week recognises all that they have done to create some of the most memorable nights of the past so they can continue to do the same in the future.

Independent Venue Week was created by ILTSOT founder, Sybil Bell, in 2013 and now operates as a stand alone, independent company and celebration. From concept to planning, delivery, marketing, media partnerships, brand partnerships and live event management, IVW was created through ILTSOT and now operates as a stand alone, independent company and celebration.

With over 1 million tickets sold to IVW gigs both in the UK, where the project has been running for 11 years, and the US, where it has run for 5 years, IVW has become a firm date in the music industry calendar supported by BBC 6 Muisc, BBC Introducing, BBC Radio 1 Extra, Radio X, Jazz FM and others and wiht a meadia reach of over 2 billion.
